College 1 just made history with its first-ever cultural festival—and what a celebration it was! For one and a half hours, college hall transformed into a global playground of flavors, rhythms, and stories, as residents moved from booth to booth, collecting stamps, tasting dishes, and diving into interactive games with buzzing energy!
Ten distinct cultural booths stood side by side, each offering a glimpse into the traditions and flavors of its community. The food alone was a journey across continents: fiery Sichuan stir-fries, hearty Northern and Eastern Chinese specialties, comforting Italian tiramisu, zesty Thai creations, nostalgic Hong Kong street bites, classic American favorites, aromatic Indian curries, delicate Japanese dishes, and bold Korean flavors. Each plate carried not just taste, but the heritage and pride of those who prepared it.
But the festival wasn’t only about food—it was about performance, creativity, and connection. The highlight of the evening was a performance showcase, where students took the stage to perform songs, including an original song they had written themselves. The soulful rhythm and heartfelt lyrics resonated deeply with the audience, embodying the festival’s spirit of unity and artistic expression.
The theme, “Home Away from Home: A Celebration of Cultures,” came alive in every corner of the event. It wasn’t just about cuisines or music but about belonging. Residents walked away not only with stamps and full stomachs, but with a renewed sense of community, knowing that their diverse backgrounds and unique stories were celebrated and cherished.
When bites meet beats, community comes alive.
